Sanibel is a city in Lee County, Florida, United States, on Sanibel Island. The island has as neighbors Captiva Island, which have more than half of the two islands preserved in its natural state as wildlife refuges!!

Linked by a bridge at Sanibel's northern point, the island is renowned for its pristine beaches and abundant seashells. Visitors can drive, walk, bike, or kayak through the J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Go to there official website.

The main thoroughfare, Periwinkle Way, is where the majority of stores and restaurants are located. The Wall Street Journal selected Sanibel and Captiva Islands as one of the 10 Best Places for Second Homes in 2010.

Sanibel & Captiva are located west of Fort Myers, Florida. Fort Myers is located just north of Naples & south of Tampa with over 15 miles of beautiful, Florida's beaches.
